Welcome to Textile Evolution! Liz Kettle and Ruth Chandler invite you to grab your needles and thread and come out and play with us.

Textile Evolution is a community where you can learn techniques, explore our favorite question 'what if...' and bravely make art from the heart. Ruth and Liz love fabric, fibers and thread...ok love may not be the right word...cherish? no...fancy...no....adore? Maybe all that piled together! Stitching makes our hearts dance with joy!

Whether you are a traditional quilter who wants to dip into the art quilt pool, a fiber artist looking to expand your skills or a mixed media artist who wants to play with fabric we hope you will join us as we explore the world of fiber and stitch.

Join us in the forum for our free book studies of Fabric Embellishing: the Basics and Beyond and Threads:the Basics and Beyond. You do need the books to participate in the book study but there isn't any fee to jump in and play. You will find tutorials and fun projects in the forum as well.

Textile Evolution Retreat is taking a hiatus and you will see many changes in our web site over the next few months as we develop our on-line community. We know so many of you want to attend our retreat but just aren't able....so we are going to be bringing all the fun of the retreat right here! Check back often and join the fun.
