The Thread Lab: WonderFil Threaducation Center at Cottonwood Center for the Arts in Colorado Springs is a learning center for everyone who sews. We are completely devoted to teaching a broad spectrum of textile classes, from quilting to garment making, home décor, bags, art and more. Our classes and workshops include both hand stitching and machine sewing - all using the broad selection of WonderFil Specialty threads. While fabric usually gets all the attention we believe that thread is the star of the show. Once you see the magical places thread can take you we think you will agree.

We provide a large, bright work area for domestic machine sewers. We host regular “Thread Play Dates” for your inspiration. It is your place to interact with like-minded people, develop new friendships and be inspired! Please drop by anytime and see what we’re up to.

The facilities are spacious and equipped for 12 sewing machine stations and participants, or 20 participants in a lecture-style environment. It includes a cutting table, ironing station, and the best part: many of WonderFil’s specialty thread lines for you to play with!

If you can’t come to us we have on-line ordering so the thread can come to you. We will be adding tutorials and tips to our blog so be sure to follow us.

Schedule your next group activity at The Thread Lab: WonderFil Threaducation Center! The center is available for group bookings and your Guild meetings. We are open 5 days a week Tuesday – Saturday (10:00 am - 5:00pm) and for special events at Cottonwood Center for the Arts. Free parking is available for visitors.
