There are a lot of things I love about the Textile Evolution Retreat, but three things stand out beyond everything else:  the people, the setting and the classes. The ladies in the three classes were a lot of fun.  We were together three meals a days for three days and got to know each other well.  They shared with me their ATC's, their fabrics, their fibers and yarn.  And we showed each other our works in progress.  Laughing and giggling all the time.  This good feeling is something I would treasure always.  On the last day we named ourselves "The Tribe".  And very appropriate, too....The view from every window was wonderful, the peace and tranquility of the setting gave me an of out of this world feeling.   I looked out one morning and there was a herd of deer walking by, I went outside to take a closer look and they just acted like I wasn't there. Sandy Lee 2009 retreat

I attended the 2009 Textile Evolution that was held in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  It was a wonderful experience.  Our lodgings were very nice, the location was easily accessed, and we even had our share of wildlife.  The teachers were amazing.  The layout of the classes was done in such a way as to make everyone feel involved in every class. The leadership planned our meals and even had evening activities for those who wanted more than the daytime classes.  I thoroughly enjoyed the Textile Evolution, and have applied many of the things I learned to projects of mine over the past year. Kathy McIntosh 2009 retreat

Textile Evolution was a wonderful retreat! The instructors are nationally known but the numbers are kept small so that the feel of the classes is more like hometown. Each student is given devoted time from the instructor in their chosen class. Not only was the food great (& catered to several specialty needs), the mealtimes were fun getting to know folks in the other classes. All in all a wonderful experience that I will definately do again!!

I live in the Colorado Springs area and I know that we locals take this place for granted, but for out of town folks, this is a great vacation destination. It is stunningly beautiful and there is so much to do. The retreat center is in a wonderful location: very close to the mountains and within a few miles of Garden of the Gods and the Air Force Academy (2 of the most visited places in CO). The locale is inspirational and relaxing. Linda Eslinger 2009 retreat
